Four day festival to celebrate the Mustangs 45th.

DEARBORN, Mich., April 6, 2009 – Thousands of Mustang enthusiasts from all over the world will converge in Birmingham, Ala. on April 17, 2009 – officially declared “Mustang Day” by the state of Alabama – to celebrate the 45th anniversary of an American icon: the Ford Mustang.

Mustang - Still "Making it Happen" at 45

he Ford Mustang has been America's #1 Pony Car since it's introduction on April 17, 1964, at the New York World's Fair.  In the last 45 years, over 9 million have been sold.  Quite an accomlishment - and for good reason.  Mustang "Made it Happen" in the 60's and 70's and it is still "Making it Happen" today.  From the 700+ horsepower Shelby GT500 Super Snake, to the 215 horsepower V6 Mustang, there is a Mustang for just about everyone.

The Mustang Anniverary Celebration

As you all well know April 17th is the 45th Anniversary of The Ford Mustang.  To celebrate the event The Icelandic Mustang Club is going to have a one day Mustang Show on April 18th from 10.00AM to 04.00PM in cooperation with Brimborg, The Icelandic Ford Dealer. Brimborg will donate their Showrooms for the day at Bildshofdi 6.  We have tried to pick the widest range of Mustang s for the show, to give people an idea of the wide range of Mustangs out there.  We will try to awake interest in the Mustang, by having knowledgeable people at the show to answer any questions, people might have regarding the Mustangs. 45th Badge
